The Drift Design mixing suite is comprised of a streamlined Macintosh & Logic Pro setup, paired with a semi-portable 24-bit/96kHz firewire-based rig and over 20 preamp channels capable of tracking concurrently. A wide selection of pro-quality microphones, outboard gear, amplifiers, instruments, effects afford you the opportunity of dialing up that exact tone you’re looking for, or creating something new entirely.

Our front end consists of a Black Lion modded MOTU 828mkII with a Black Lion MicroClock mkII synching up our digital sampling. Our rig features widely acclaimed pre-amps by Chameleon Labs, FMR Audio, JoeMeek, Black Lion Audio, Golden Age, and more. A variety of microphones includes staples like the AKG c414, Rode NT5, Shure SM7b, Rode NT-2A, and an entire locker full of other options.

Artists take their pick of classic tube amps like the Vox AC30 and Marshall JCM900, and pair them with Strats, Teles, or the classic Gibson semi-hollowbody. Whether its the warm vintage purr of the ES-137, or the buzz-saw synth leads of our MicroKORG, you’ll find the right tool for the application at Drift.
